Our Simple Rules
Rules update as of Friday February the 17th, 2012.
General Rules
Since it has been discussed recently that some members may feel discriminated against or left out of conversations, either on the forum or in chat, we are enforcing a new rule. If you feel that you or any other member is being unfairly discriminated against, you must report this, via PM to and administrator (Staceylala or JulienB) or JDWilsh with screenshot and/or links to posts or threads. These reports will be reviewed by the administrative team and dealt with accordingly.
Discrimination my include written abuse against a members race, colour, age, sex, sexual orientation, beliefs or religion. Please do not confuse a heated debate for discrimination. If, for example, a member posts something along the lines of 'I don't like you because you're gay and that's wrong' then this is considered discrimination and should be reported. However, with the nature of the internet and this forum, if a member posts the word 'candy-ass' it is usually in good humour. If it is aimed at you from someone you don't feel comfortable with, then you may report it.
On the subject of chat, if you feel that you are being left out of the conversation, then please, by all means, say so and you will be included. If you feel that you are still being excluded, please screenshot the chat log and PM them to an administrator or JDWilsh.
Formal complaints
If you have a formal complaint about a member, or anything about the site or the way it is moderated, you should PM an administrator or JDWilsh. We ask that you do not post publicly about your complaint on the forum (unless you feel the need to make a thread about it in the site section) Please do not update your status about your complaint, write about it in shout box or talk about it publicly in chat. You may discuss it with other members via PM or private chat if you feel the need to.
If one of our members is abusive to you outside of the forum, please let one of the administrators know. While there is nothing we can do outside of the forum (For example; Facebook or Twitter) we can take appropriate action against them on the forum, providing you provide us with the correct evidence.
Off Topic.
The off topic section is just that; 'Off Topic'. We do not have any real written rules here, you can post almost anything you like. However, we ask that threads are well thought out before being made. We do not want a lot of 1-2 page threads laying around. Most of these types of threads may be either locked or merged with existing, similar threads. Please avoid spamming of all forums, as well as Off Topic.
Our only 'real' rules here are two that cover the entire board
Memes throughout the forum are to be expected. These may be internet wide memes or Random Forum Title exclusive. You are on the internet, you cannot escape memes and RFT is certainly no exception. Off Topic has the most meme based threads and posts, so if you don't like them, please avoid meme threads. Complaints about the amount of memes being used will most likely be dismissed.
Deadmau5 Section
The Deadmau5 section is for Deadmau5 discussion only. Deadmau5's personal life shall not be discussed anywhere on the forum, nor that of any other artist.
Releases Section
Please read the starter guides within this section before you start a topic with your question.
Promote Yourself Section
While staff are not totally exempt from these rules, they do have the right to change and edit the rules when they see fit and without warning.
General Rules
